This is a fire place crane that I made for a local client to fit into the bosses of the fireplace's original crane which was missing. The vertical beam has  forged tenons top and bottom to fit into the bosses. The cross brace is attached to the vertical beam with a mortise and tenon joint and is fastened to the horizontal arm with two blind rivets. The cross brace, which is round, also has a forged square corner and a scroll at the end. The horizontal arm is attached at one end to the vertical beam with a mortise and tenon joint and then it tapers down to the other end which has a scroll. It is approximately 25" x 25".
